A Legacy of Valor
Born on April 4, 1928, in Whitinsville, Massachusetts, Colonel Kizirian embarked on a remarkable military journey that spanned over three decades. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and later transitioned to the United States Army, where he played pivotal roles in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. His intelligence work during the Vietnam War, particularly his efforts in uncovering the Tet Offensive, is credited with saving countless lives.
A Decorated Hero
Colonel Kizirian's bravery and leadership earned him numerous military decorations, including the Distinguished Service Cross, Defense Distinguished Service Medal, Silver Star, Legion of Merit (4), Distinguished Flying Cross, Soldier's Medal, Bronze Star with V Device (6), Purple Heart (3), and Air Medal (14). He is recognized as one of the most decorated Army Intelligence officers in U.S. history.
Resting at Arlington
After his passing on February 26, 2006, Colonel Kizirian was laid to rest with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery, a testament to his service and sacrifice.
